MEDIA RELEASE ‘Make Me a Success Enterprise Challenge’, a reality TV show produced by VTV Satellite and Crystal TV have outcompeted hundreds of entries submitted from around the world to get to the final few shortlisted for an international award for excellence, along with entries from BBC, Channel 4, ABC Australia, Deutsche Welle among other well know International broadcasters. Make Me a Success has been shortlisted in the category of Best Creative TV Feature by the Association for International Broadcasting. (www.aib.org.uk) Crystal TV in collaboration with VTV Satellite is the only TV broadcaster from Africa to make it onto the shortlist, with its prime time programme ‘Make Me A Success Enterprise Challenge’. ‘Make Me a Success Enterprise Challenge’, is an educational entertainment TV reality show that gives young men and women from small poor communities, rural towns, disadvantaged backgrounds or unemployed, the opportunity to be trained in different industries and put through an enterprise challenge. They compete to win a major cash prize to set up their own business in their community or to pay for further education to improve their job and career prospects. Series one has transformed six women from small towns into successful enterprising women. ‘Make Me A Success’ produced by VTV Satellite and Crystal TV has been a major hit with viewers, and has now been recognized by an international panel of judges, as a programme of excellence. According to Fathia Plange, CEO of VTV Satellite and Chief Paul Crystal, CEO of Crystal TV, the format is going global, and will soon be adapted in Europe, Asia, India and America as some international broadcasters have already expressed an interest, and discussions are underway. The short-listing process for this year's AIBs - the international media excellence awards -. which had well over 200 entries submitted from broadcasters, production companies, multimedia producers and technology companies picked out the very best across all the categories, including ‘Make Me A Success Enterprise Challenge’. The winners will be announced at the awards gala in London on 4 November during a glittering ceremony that brings together programme makers, producers, editors, journalists and executives from all over the world, with ‘Make Me A Success’ hopefully coming out tops.
